Social Program

The social program will include a banquet, tour of Old Town, and several other events that encourage informal discussion between participants.

Events at adjacent dates, that are not part of the colloquium (if you want to extend your stay):

• Tallinn Midsummer festival (bonfire) 22. June 2024 at 12:00-21:00 at Stroomi beach (free)
• Tallinn Midsummer festival at the Open Air Museum 23. June 2024 at 16:00-23:00 (admission fee)

The Midsummer celebration is one of the most important festivities in northern European countries and it marks the summer solstice (well it is three days late :-) ), typically in the evening of June 23rd it is celebrated with a bonfire. This tradition goes back to times before the christianization.
